How to fix Thunderbird errors

At www.configuraroutlook.com we teach you how to set up Mozilla Thunderbird, with Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Hosting and other emails. However, some errors may occur.

We teach you how to solve Thunderbird errors. Most of the errors are derived from simple distractions during Thunderbird set up and are therefore easy to resolve. Other errors can be more complex but we also have solutions for them.

How to fix Thunderbird errors

The most common faults and the most extreme solutions

USERNAME AND PASSWORD

Use the complete username. "name" or "name@email.com" is not the same as name@email.com.BR Also be sure of your password and do not use Caps Lock when writing it. When in doubt just copy / paste.

SERVER SETTINGS

Always use your provider's settings. MAIL.server.com is different MAIL.server.com.BR and the incoming and outgoing ports that are usually 995 and 465 with SSL / TLS can also be 110 and 587 without encryption.

EMAIL ACCESS

Make sure you've set up your email to allow Thunderbird access. This is done in your own email and not through Thunderbird. Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo, for example, need to be configured to authorize this access.

PATIENCE

If you have already tested, and you're sure you've made no mistake, but you are not seeing any new emails entering your mailbox, take a break ... drink a coffee ... or two! We've seen emails taking more than 10 minutes to reach the destination!

EXTREME SOLUTION

If you are absolutely sure that everything is 100% correct, then try setting up on another computer. If it works then you know the problem is on your computer and not on your configuration. An extreme solution will be to reinstall Thunderbird. Too much? Yes. But the range is so wide that it will probably solve your problem too.
